PlayMade, a leading bubble tea brand, has named QuikBot Technologies, the pioneer in developing the World’s 1st Autonomous Final-Mile Delivery (AFMD) Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for Smart Cities, as its exclusive trial partner for autonomous final-mile delivery across select PlayMade outlets in Singapore. This partnership will see PlayMade integrate QuikBot’s AFMD PaaS to enhance operational efficiency in both beverage production and last-mile logistics, setting a new standard for automation in the food and beverage sector.
This initiative provides PlayMade with a real-world environment to implement QuikBot’s AFMD PaaS, allowing for a practical assessment of robotic delivery in the F&B industry. The program aims to explore the feasibility of autonomous delivery, the scalability of automation, and its impact on operational efficiency in high-demand urban areas.
As part of this initiative, PlayMade will introduce an advanced automated bubble tea machine, capable of crafting made-to-order beverages in just 6–8 seconds. Combined with QuikBot’s autonomous robotic delivery network, this innovation is designed to streamline workflows, enhance service speed, and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key Focus Areas
The pilot will evaluate critical factors influencing the success of autonomous F&B delivery, including:
- Automated Production and Delivery Synergy – Assessing the impact of integrating an automated bubble tea machine with autonomous last-mile delivery solutions.
- Delivery Performance Metrics – Benchmarking the speed, efficiency, and reliability of QuikBot’s AFMD PaaS against traditional delivery methods.
- Packaging Adaptation – Refining packaging designs to enhance beverage stability, maintain ideal temperatures, and prevent spills during robotic transport.
- Product Design Enhancements – Developing innovative spill-resistant cup designs to accommodate the unique constraints of autonomous delivery systems.
- Operational Adaptation – Gathering insights from PlayMade staff on the workflow integration of automation into daily operations.
- Consumer Perception and Pricing Strategy – Evaluating customer willingness to pay for the added convenience of autonomous delivery services.
“Innovation has always been the driving force behind PlayMade. Our partnership with QuikBot allows us to reimagine customer convenience through automation, from brewing to delivery. By integrating cutting-edge robotics into our workflow, we aim to set new industry standards for efficiency and service excellence,” said Tan Guo Rong, Managing Partner, PlayMade.
“At QuikBot, our mission is to revolutionise last-mile delivery through intelligent automation. This collaboration with PlayMade showcases how technology can streamline operations, lower costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. We are excited to demonstrate how autonomous solutions can seamlessly integrate into urban ecosystems,” said Alan Ng, CEO & Founder, QuikBot Technologies.
Pilot Program Roadmap
Initially, customers will place orders manually via WhatsApp to the PlayMade store. By Q3 2025, PlayMade plans to launch its dedicated PlayMade app, followed by seamless integration with QuikBot’s AFMD PaaS, creating a fully automated end-to-end ordering and delivery system. The pilot will strategically target off-peak office hours, where demand for bubble tea surges, to optimise order fulfillment.
Invitation to F&B Businesses
QuikBot Technologies and PlayMade invite F&B establishments throughout Singapore to observe and participate in this initiative. Participating businesses will have the opportunity to prepare for an autonomous future by testing and refining their operations in collaboration with QB.
Sharing Insights
Upon completion of the pilot, QuikBot Technologies and PlayMade will share their findings with food delivery providers and the broader F&B industry. This knowledge-sharing aims to facilitate a smoother transition to autonomous delivery systems across the sector, promoting innovation and efficiency
